“generational trauma from colonialism and slavery also created colourism” which she claims is “hyper present in the Dominican Republic,” especially seen today in the “maltreatment of Haitian people, especially pregnant Haitian people already in the DR”.

In a latest update now, the Dominican Republic’s president has slam these claims and call it false.

The president of the Republican state, Luis Abinader has argue that they has “never been an issue of race” stating that he claims is only based on “her opinion”.

Luis went on to k ow that 85% of the Dominican people are mixed race and in his words, I quote below;

“We have never had a problem of race.”

This issue that caused argument online when Lizzy, the students replied back to the president claiming that “There is an issue of race”.
